Things get done by those who do them.
Lack of conviction is not an attribute of humility, but the lack of judgement of others is.
Freedom is not a stand-alone entity. Freedom, to remain freedom, must be paired with responsible restraint and positive action, motivated by selfless love, both personally and in relationship interactions with others. Freedom alone is but an invitation to chaos, anarchy and destruction. This responsible restraint which allows ongoing freedom, and without which freedom invariably morphs into various slaveries, is termed morality, virtue(s) or ethics and is part of the foundation of Christianity.
Learn as much as you can of that which is good so that you can share as much good as you can. Become as much as you can so that you can help as many as you can. Get fairly and compassionately as much out of life as you can so that you can give as much as you can.
Bible reading, or Bible study, or Bible communication? Are we looking for information or relationship? To know about Him, His plans, or to know Him?
God in judgement will not ask: “Was it hard?” or “Who did what?! But “Did you do it?”: Did you reveal to them my forgiveness, my compassion, my gentleness, my patience, my mercy, my faithfulness, my love. With me all things were possible, my strength was sufficient.
He came to save us from the guilt of our sins and to positively sustain us in purity. Going from a fetus in Mary to, by our invitation, a personal force in us. He who saves us initially from our guilt, empowers us internally and externally in faithful selfless love.
The plain teaching of the Bible reveals that at His First Advent, Christ defeated the Devil and both became, then took to heaven a wave sheaf. At His Second Advent He will take His whole harvest (1 Thes. 4:13-18 ), while the then alive sin attached humans, will die their first death by the brightness of His coming. After the executive judgement at His third appearance, the devil and his angels and all humans who have chosen the ways of death will meet their second ( permanent ) death ( Rev. 20:14,15 ) thus removing God’s last enemy — death ( 1 Cor. 15:26 ).
God wins in the battle with enslaving no-faith and no-love, by simply treating us sinners with faithful selfless love. If we walk with Him now, receiving His gifts of forgiveness and divine character as did Enoch, we will continue with Him walking right into heaven when He comes to gather His own.
The language of God’s love is sacrifice and men are commanded to do it for their spouses. The language of heaven is respect and submission and women are instructed to use this language with their husbands in response to that of his sacrifice. Man teaching the woman the language of God and woman teaching man the language of heaven Eph. 5:22-33.
May your deep desire be to give kindnesses untouched by greed.
Is your sensory input subservient to your mind or is your mind subservient to your senses? The answer reveals much as to who and what is in control of your life.
Though significant, Christianity’s essence is not in hearing, in knowing, in believing, in understanding, in belonging, in confessing, in keeping, doing or even in giving, but in being – being in Christ through the humbling of self, and Christ being in you. So invite Him, welcome Him, rejoice in His character traits of mercy, grace, forgiveness, compassion, long-suffering, gentleness, godliness, humility, kindness, faithfulness, purity, and truthfulness. All bound together by His other-centered love. All this becoming your life — the life you’ve always dreamt of. A life of peace within, assured abundance of relational joys, fulfillment, security and satisfaction, all existing in the milieu of freedom.
Christian character is not so much for us to develop as it is for us to invite in.
The foundational question is not will I get too heaven but will I, will you, let heaven be in you. Jesus the Christ is eternal life ( Jn. 2:36; Col. 3:4; Gal. 2:20; Jn. 17: 3,10,22; Jn. 6:54; 2Cor.13:5 ) and when the heart’s door is willingly opened wide to the Savior, a trip to heaven is primarily a change in location and life eternal.
Much of what passes as Christianity and Christian doctrine in today’s world is, I hate to say, merely non-biblical even anti-biblical baptized paganism along with false narratives which have slowly crept into the Christian churches over the centuries. Read the Bible prayerfully and carefully for yourself. Look for origins and apply what you learn—it may benefit your longevity Jn. 10:10.
True obedience is a surrender of the heart to the supreme excellence of love.
The proof of knowing God is trust. The proof of trust is obedience. The proof of obedience is faithfulness. The proof of faithfulness is love. The proof of love is compassionate service.
Grace is unmerited favor ( Webster/Strong’s ). God’s grace was first shown to humanity in the creation of this beautiful, life supporting world Genesis chap. 1,2. It was shown to Cain Genesis 4. To each one grace has been given Ephesians 4;7. Grace is shown to the wicked Isaiah 26:10. Grace was shown to Abraham Galatians 3:18. Grace started the Israelite nation Deuteronomy 5:6. Grace introduced the Ten Commandments Exodus 20:1. Grace reigns through righteousness Romans 5:21 and righteousness is obedience to God’s law ( Webster/Strong’s ). Grace is a function of God’s other-centered love, it’s outer boundaries described by God’s law and has always been and will ever be.
At this time in our world’s history a Christian’s number one priority should be having Christ, His character growing unhindered within.
God’s character is so misrepresented by commonly held “Christian “ beliefs that non-Christians rightly turn away from Him to their loss. Pray and read carefully the Bible for yourself letting it alone speak to you. Then be willing to stand – even if it be alone – for the truths that rightly reveal His character of love. In the end you will be glad you did Mt. 7:21-23 since all that God has said, commanded or done, has been, is and will be for out best good.
Why did Jesus the Christ come to this earth He created? Your answers and the order of those answers reveal much of your understanding of the heart of God. I submit that: 1) Jesus came to our world to open a way for fallen mankind to re-enter the fellowship and joy of sustained purity via eternal life dwelling in us. Gaining for us, with our continuing permission, the right to cover our sinfulness with forgiveness, then incorporate His unblemished character, developed from His full submission to His Father’s will while a human, incrementally into our character. 2) These actions revealing God’s unfathomable other-centered love to all. 3) Thus earning Him the full right, understood and granted by all Rev. 11:15-19, to remove Satan and his ongoing deceit that led and leads to distress and cessation for he and all that have followed him (though with a heart of sorrow), from the universe, thus destroying death (1 Cor. 5:54,55; 15:26). To God be the Glory!
Our future salvation is influenced but not determined by our knowledge of truth or lack of knowledge, our understanding of truth or lack of understanding, our right interpretations or wrong interpretations – of which we all will have varying amounts at His second coming. Our salvation is determined by His grace of forgiveness and our faith in that forgiveness. Followed by the proof of our faith – in our choice to allow Him to work in us both to will and to do — revealing our belief in Him. Yet to know more of the truth about His heart of love, will draw us and through us others nearby, irresistibly to Him.
In Christianity, as well as life in general, why are there incongruous beliefs about God? Absence of information, misinformation, misinterpretation, misapplications, misunderstandings, partial truths given or taken as whole truths, looking at or maximizing content over intent, wanting to support a preconceived idea, salve a conscience, justify a sin, to wiggle out of a conviction or responsibility to name a few. Why are true beliefs about God important? What you believe you eventually become. You believe in an absent God you become careless and make or become your own god. You believe in a vengeful God you become vengeful, angry, hateful. You believe in a capricious God you become confused, erratic, ambivalent. You believe in a God of harmonic consistency, of sense, of compassion, of communion, a God of unchanging love — you become a faithful lover. Study to know His heart.
The greatest need and want of the world is not for more to tell of God’s love, as it is for more to be God’s love.
There is a 180 degree difference between protecting the right to choose/believe/act and making a choice/belief/act a protected right.
To give is to live and to live is to give.
In your Christian walk are you a slave or servant? Or by committed choice becoming a bond-servant? Are you choosing to remain a bond-servant or are you becoming a friend? Do your acts come by a sense of duty or by willing joyful choices? Do you function by law or by love? Are you growing from a friend into a beloved son or daughter Philemon 16?
Is your desire to know about Him, or to know Him, to worship, to serve, or to worship by serving?
Divine covenants are the grace of faithful love. Covenants (promises, pledges) given in hope from a heart of love that they will lead to human, full hearted responsive faithful love by the opening of their hearts for God to enter in, both to will and to do His will – which becomes our – good pleasure.
True love is infinitely larger, more inclusive, beautiful, more sustained and more pure of self than our highest imaginings. True love is other-centered, selfless choices and actions. We’ll feel at a deep level, oneness in thought, motivations and interests with each and all. God, the source and example of true love provides, protects, gives freedom, invites, welcomes us with open embracing arms, caresses us with light breezes, warm waters and rays of sun, thrills us with sights and fragrances of cedar, pine, a visual/olfactory/taste cacophony of flowers, leaves, and foods, thoughts and visual feasts of sunrises and sunsets, mountains, verdant plains, mirror lakes, singing streams, birds, mammals and the thrills of new life. This love involves respect, admiration, adoration, and commitment. It always involves, and only involves what is for the best good in the end for the other. This is what He invites us to, to begin here and expanding into infinity.
Idealism, without other-centered love and freedom has and will always cross the line into insane chaos. See history, past and present for examples.
The power question that Scriptures answer is “Who’s.” Our right doing or His? Our works, our obedience or that of the indwelling Christ? “Who?” Do we try to clothe ourselves with fig leaves or do we let Christ clothe us? Is it He or we who are trustworthy? Faithful? He who was pure was numbered with the impure so that we who are impure may both be forgiven and accept the grace of His character being remade in us so that we – Christ in us – may be, as He. Christ graciously attributes to us the virtues, merits, character traits that He gives us and it is our privilege, duty, responsibility, and joy to humbly re-appropriate them back to Him where they originated and continue to be empowered by.
The word salvation, like the word love may be loaded, by emphasis on one valid facet to the degree that like a misloaded wheelbarrow it becomes unbalanced and loses its true direction, if not its whole load. The word salvation today is commonly so loaded with personal futurism that it’s source – one’s personal past – thus present significance – saved from are nearly weightless and taking a 180 degree turn takes a self-centered pathway to destruction. Scripture loaded the word “saved” for fallen mankind with the weight on the heart of the Persons (the Trinity), the forgiveness, and the power to do (Christ in you). The future eternity rests as a given, if the past and present are truly appreciated/experienced. When reading the word salvation in our common unbalanced, self-focusing, futuristic loading, it often leads us to miss the true immediate contextual meaning, thus appreciation and application of what He offers. Save, saved, salvation have their foundation in from, not to “you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins” Mt 1:21. Humbly revel in what He has saved you from — a life of slavery to sin and sins disintegration with it’s eventual eternal death. We’ve become so enamored with our futuristic life eternal that we miss also the reality of both forgiveness and eternal life now. Yes, Jesus Christ who is eternal life Jn. 5:20, we may have now, today in us, the glory of His character, the source of His veiled outshining glory. He then becomes our hope of life eternal – future glory. I believe rethinking and reloading properly the word salvation will be of inestimable value to all as we enter the final steps of an all out revealing of the love of God to all His creation. As to assurance, the only assurance we need and truly have is the assurance of God’s faithful love, that He loves His Son and us. Accept it, believe it, live it, rest in it. It brings forgiveness and power to overcome through His indwelling character (ie. the true beauties and body of salvation following forgiveness). Our testimony through the properly loaded word – salvation – will bring power, divine power to that which, truly is all we presently have — our living and verbal testimony about what God, in love, has done for us. “And I told them of the good hand of my God that had been upon us.” Matthew 18:22-35; 1 John 1:2; 3:9; 5:11-13, 20; Nehemiah 2:18
The Biblical book of Revelation is an unveiling of: 1) the divine reality of Christ 2) His deep desire for relationship with those He created 3) His assurance that it will happen 4) and the uncloaking of evil. Revelation x 4.
Are life’s biologic roles in any kingdom assigned or assumed, rejoiced in, resigned too, defined or changeable? Are you desirous of what you are not, or grateful for that what you are? Answer carefully.
Study the link between Christ’s words to the Pharisees in Mark 12:13-17 or Luke 20:20-26 and Exodus 20:8-11.
IT’S ME —- One of the great steps of life is when you come to the deep realization that what happens around you and to you — your stuff, your power, your pride, even your body is of far lesser import than how you handle/process what this life hands you. And in the end — it’s all that counts. If you handle the event with lower self-worth, depression, uncontested feelings of loss, or with aggravation, irritation, anger or impatience — even if you appear to win — you lose always. You lose psychologically, emotionally, physically, relationally, while biochemically degrading your body machine further than the original event could harm. It’s not what your friend, spouse, child, boss, sibling, teacher, co-worker, society, government or even parent said, says or does that in the end matters, but how you handled it. Yes, being wise and doing things to avoid further unnecessary trouble, yet not with any degrading thoughts or actions. Not reacting nor ruminating, not playing the victim nor being vindictive but picking up the pieces and moving forward with courage that’s born of hope, moving on in deepening patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, compassion, forgiveness and brotherly/sisterly love while leaving judgement and judgments to God. This ability is found in the understanding of, acceptance of, and for the asking, from a personal God of love.
Happiness is a choice, not an outcome. It is not dependent on anything outside of you.
Approaches to the vital subject of forgiveness often fall short because of inadequate consideration of the integrally intertwined natures of forgiveness, mercy, grace and justice. The four which not only coexist but co-operate. That’s why the veracity of Christ’s statement – forgive 70 x 7 – held, even in the depth of the greatest crime the universe has ever experienced – the high evil attempt on the personal existence of God, with Christ’s response — “Father forgive them”…Luke 23:34. Un-forgiveness and its cascade of impatience, aggravation, irritation, anger is too physiologically, sociologically, and spiritually toxic for humans, yea life to handle ( Jm 1:20, Eph. 4:31 ). So God, whose anger is infinitely different then man’s ( Isaiah 55:8,9 ), asks us to trust Him, and leave judgement and judgements to Him (Rom. 12:17, Jer. 32:27,17 ), and find healing and peace in trust.
The Bible states that all life, including human life originated from acts of God in Genesis chapters one and two. John 10:10 states He – God – came again to this earth to give life and life more abundantly. That means He is sans bigotry and all life matters to Him.
One of the more difficult things in life is to be aware of negatives yet dwell on the positives. Aware of the short-comings but dwell on the long-comings. This includes our selves, our spouses, children, siblings, teachers, bosses, co-workers, officials, processes, entities as well as life’s events. The first solution is to dwell on the positives. The second is like unto the first and adding prayer for the capability.
If there was no heaven to win nor hell to shun, would you choose to walk the downward road or the upward path? A life clarifying question. Envy, pride, grasping, enslavement and fear is on the down road. Other-centered love, self-control, trust, gratefulness, giving, forgiving and freedom is on the up path.
If we are willing, the good news is that Christ will cover/ fill/ spill.
James 1:14 tells us sin is the external display of internal evil desire.
The Christian life begins by recognizing the obvious surrounding divine love. Then responds by turning from the dark degradation of selfish grasping to forgiveness, and to joyfully begin a lifetime relational walk with our Creator/Redeemer. Being increasingly infilled day by day with His amazing character traits comprising and infused with His selfless love.
The wise build up, the unwise tear down. The wise give, the unwise take. The wise respect, the unwise disrespect. The wise educate, the unwise demand. The wise are looking for the good, the unwise for real or supposed faults. The wise reveal gratitude, the unwise ignore favors. The respect, reverence and admiration of God is the beginning of wisdom (see Pr 9:10 Strong’s Concordance/Merriam-Webster).
The difference between legalism and love is not in the doing but in the attitude, between the shadows of “have to” and the brilliance of “get to”.
Lies are the currency of all that leads to loss. Lies partnered with un-forgiveness are at the foundation of most if not all of this world’s personal and corporate sorrow. Untainted full truth, understood, believed, acted upon and passed on in love is the only antidote, the only way to growth. Avoid lies as you would a poisonous hissing snake, and search for truth as you would for your missing child.
The focus of all life is to identify what enhances and what detracts from life, and then pursue the course we choose. The Ten Commandments of scripture merely define the bottomline relational dynamics that either enhance or enter paths that remove the unbelievable gift of life.
The gift of life is composed of opportunities and challenges about which we are free to make choices. The interrelation and summation of these choices constitute the whole of your life, its effects and sequel. Choose then to give careful consideration and then energetic commitment to these choices. Make one choice as the foundation of all other choices to obtain the greatest wealth — that of righteousness — His righteousness found by choosing to invite Jesus the Christ within Proverbs. 8:33,14,17,18.
When viewed aright, to give is not a sacrifice but a privilege.
Jude wrote a short book that’s placed next to last in the Holy Scriptures. In it he reminds us there are ultimate results to our choices, thus responsibilities, by showing 7 examples of judgement in the short book of 25 verses.
Form/Function/Role/Value: God created both animate and inanimate forms and functions with specific inter-relational beneficial roles in mind as noted in Genesis chapters 1&2. This holds true in each body organ system, hormonal, immunity systems, cell, cellular organelles, DNA, RNA, or the 37 billion plus/minus inanimate purposeful chemical reactions that occur in each of our 37 billion body cells per second. This holds true also for each plant in their ecologic niche as well as for each creature in the animal kingdom and again for each species’ gender within both kingdoms. Their value and equality of value rests in the heart of their loving Creator and their primary usefulness is in the faithful performance of their role function. The beauty, the harmony and fulfillment is in how faithfully and well our role is fulfilled – thus life and joy.

“A father who does not teach his son a trade will raise a criminal,” is an ancient Middle East saying and is as much a truity today. Work is an opportunity and a way to constructively channel young men’s time and energy, promoting emotional, physical, mental, and relational growth.
There are those who feel they rightly reject organized Christian religion or God in general because of the cacophony of teachings, the hypocrisy of its/His adherents, it’s too common coercive behaviors, and their own inability to surface explain God’s real and attributed actions, yet its to their deficit. Filthy bath water does hide a baby, and where there is polluted water there must be some pure upstream. Where there is life there must be a way to health. The precious beauty of gems or truth come not to the casual, but to the diligent searcher. Prayfully read the Bible for your-self.
Some will hurt you but only you can become impatient, take offense, indignant, annoyed, irritated, aggravated, resentful, angry. Each contributing too, if they become habitual (which is all too common), a 7 year average shortening of lifespan by a witches brew of internal chemicals — revealed by many longterm studies — literally a slow suicide. Christ’s saying on the mountainside in Mt. 5 that, “The meek” — those who endure real or supposed injury with patience and without resentment — “shall inherit the earth” – is but a statement of reality since the others will self-destruct here, or if allowed – there! To be a Christian is to grant grace – unearned, unmerited favor – which will involve long-suffering and forgiveness.
It is not in the movements of evil that we see the will of God, but inspite of the movements of evil we see His great purposes still moving forward unthwarted.
Coercion, in any form, overt or covert, is but a tool and marker of deception, oppression, authoritarianism, imperialism, tyranny.
The law of sin and death – Genesis 2:17 – is as natural, un-artificial and veritable as the laws of gravity, polarity and centrifugal force are inherent in and to reality. Sin, by definition, is anything that contributes to the process of degeneration thus death. This is the sole reason God, out of love for us, directs us away from it. Directs us away while grace defers, holds off, postpones sins inevitable result of eternal non-existence. Deferred so as to give each individual, through winsome invitations, a second chance for a heart change.
What is the truth? The TRUTH is the loveliness of God’s character and life revealed to us most fully by the CHRIST, and the GOSPEL is that LIFE given for and to us.
Is the freedom you want based on self-restraint (sounds like an oxymoron but the results speak louder than words) or absence of restraints? The latter will lead to chaos and loss, the former can lead to a chosen destination. Think of one who wants to do well at an activity, a field of knowledge, a business, a surgeon, a pilot of an aircraft. To exist freedom must have bounds, preferably self imposed.
The Bible’s message condensed: God created life. We chose death. But God… (making right what has gone wrong by making possible the restoration of the image of God in humans).
A partial truth told as a whole truth becomes an untruth which will always return and sting the giver.
Perfect love’s trust casts out all fear: thus anxiety, worry, annoyance, irritation, aggravation, anger, rebellion, jealousy, greed, aloneness, loss, hopelessness. Perfect love is what God is and wants to develop in you. 1John 4:18; Matthew 8:23-27
The Bible decries discrimination and oppression not differences, encourages us to judge actions not people.
As a Christian physician, (Yes, 90% of USA physicians attend religious services and 76% are convinced there is a God according to a 2005 U of Chicago study pub. in J. of General IM with mathematicians being the second most likely intellectuals to believe in God.
I have noted we as humans have a tendency to look into life in general or into the Bible for permission/allowance to affirm our current interests/ desires/beliefs instead of searching for and identifying what is, and ways to pursue the consummate, the preeminent.
To condense and paraphrase a sage observation: The greatest want of this world is the want of men and women who will not be bought or sold, men and women who in their heart of hearts are true and honest, men and women who will stand for the right though their heavens fall.
The most significant relational difference between the genders is that males desire respect – a value earned by one and given by the other and females commitment – a value given by both.
Rights and Righteousness are paths that begin next to each other as do tolerance and love but rights and tolerance both continue a slow turn till they are traveling 180 degrees from their earlier apparent direction.
Critical and its synonym captious mean “calculated to confuse, to entangle in argument on trivial grounds”. Proverbs 20:3 tells us it is an honor for an individual to refrain from strife: but every fool will be quarreling. Its a lose-lose situation.
To do is not to be, yet to be is to do.
Equality in opportunity or equality in outcomes? The latter under the guise of materialism was offer too and rejected by Christ in his last temptation in the wilderness.
Human viral infections are far and away the most common infestations of the human race. To help counteract this attack of the adversary, God made and recommended certain foods. Anti-viral foods include olives, and olive oil, garlic, yogurt (introducing commensal bacteria into the gut which are naturally there in whole plant vegetarian diet users), pumpkin, squash, zucchini, legumes and more, and there are certain condiments such as ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, elderberry, lovage etc. God also recommends certain emotions to refrain from such as aggravation, annoyance, irritation, fear, anger, all which devastate the immune system – while recommending forgiveness – a cleaning of your own slate of toxic attachments to the past – then transacting compassion, kindness, from other-centered love. Each which markedly increase humans main and powerful immunologic defense against virus -IgA.
Putting together all the recent factors that are playing out across the globe, there more than seems to be a coordinated, orchestrated effort to rid the planet of most if not all religion as well as most humans (at least not caring if they continue existence), with the attitude of ancient Judah’s King Hezekiah ‘at least it won’t happen to me’. Orchestrated by the Adversary of all good through various world entities, nations, political parties, power structures and behind the scenes yet to be fully revealed – religions. Tyranny and oppression leading the way with greed as the foundation and money the lubricant. Partial truths are told as whole truths with outright falsehoods the language, while unrestrained sensuality and lawless chaos are the underlying modus operandi. This is occurring as the gracious God of Creation, Individual Lover, and Granter of Freedom is releasing the restraints He has placed on the Adversary’s influence and conduct to provide a divinely granted time for unrestrained self-unmasking of demonic reality just prior to and leading up to the final conflict between the titans of truth and error, right and wrong, life and death in the battle of – yes – Armageddon. Reality screams out – choose ye this day whom ye will serve, serve not just in deed but in truth both printed and living truth – Truth who procreates deeds. The truth of the fullness of His imparted, indwelling Spirit of selfless, other centered love and truth that has been shared and come alive on this earth, truth for our best good, the truth in His word. Time to be filled and overflowing with that Spirit is truely of personal essence!
We in America are an interesting group of people as we put together, support and defend industries that knowingly kill humans, our moms and dads, brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends all in the name of profit. Heart and cancer deaths via the flesh food industry, diabetes, heart deaths and amputations via the refined carbohydrate industry, Lung, lip and mouth cancers, pulmonary and heart deaths from the tobacco industry. High blood pressure, strokes, heart and cancer deaths as well as obesity from the salt/fat/artificial flavor of the ultra processed food industry all designed to hijack our dopamine pleasure centers leading to addiction thus bringing them a larger portion of humans life blood that has been converted to monies by these means available to them. Also there’s the pornography industry taking advantage of the human hormonal systems to now obtain greater than 58 billion internet hits per month just for the top three sites while knowingly breaking up relationships thus decreasing lifespans of those relationship losers by 3+ years and unresearched life-span losses of children involved. There are the digital and gambling industries addicting for cash all ages with gaming and social media engineered to trigger powerful consumptive urges – addiction leading to depression, suicide, loss of physical activity thus inducing early loss of live. This is all added to a society that’s already destroying fetus’ at the rate of 1700 per day for millions of pocketed monies. We as a society then feign surprise as the pharmaceutical industry picks up the option in their attempt to capture monies by monetarily hijacking the media, political, science and medical disciplines as allies. Is it much different than our culture fostering Christian churches that do similarly in knowingly dropping off or adding portions to God given instructions thus likely closing off some temporal years as well as potentially eliminating an eternal life of peace and joy for their listeners – just for temporal temporary feel good and monies. If every word of God is flawless then what did He say about diet, exercise, work, destructive habits, money grubbing, pharmakia, worship, adding to or subtracting from His word or benefits of trusting obedience?
DO YOU DESIRE TO BE: A: Valued, prized, unique, treasured, loved as an individual, a purposefully created being – OR B: a substance, entity, object, a generic article who’s value, purpose and future thus current treatment should be hylozoisticaly equal to a pebble or a vermin? (ie, all mater has life and is of equal worth). This latter is an ancient Greek philosophy that is seeing a current resurgence at least for animate life forms in America’s liberal circles. A plausible philosophy since a person’s worldview ultimately offers only one or the other. If one lives their life as if A is true and you come to find it is, you’ve gained something that makes all lotteries combined truely valueless. But if A turns out untrue, this life would still have treated you better than option B and in the end you would not fare worse than B. It’s a winner (called an “overcomer” due to the journey) takes all, losers all the same. Chose you worldview and run with it.
